Dr. Marissa Bass is a dedicated Veterinarian at Valley Ranch Animal Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine and has a special interest in cardiology and internal medicine. Her passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age when she adopted a kitten with a severe strain of calicivirus. Determined to save him, she spent over three months sleeping on the bathroom floor and nursing him back to health. Working alongside her childhood veterinarian during this time ignited her lifelong passion for caring for animals, and inspired her commitment to helping pets overcome even the most difficult medical challenges. Today, Dr. Bass is devoted to strengthening the bond between people and their pets by providing individualized, gentle, and advanced medical care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 20 years, reading, and visiting her family in California as often as possible. At home, Dr. Bass shares her life with her beloved dog Tanjiro, and cat, Rue. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members and helping them live long, healthy, and happy lives.
